Project update week 3: 'Nicely movin' on!'

.

The first three weeks of 2021 already passed. We let Blue Monday behind us. Although to us that day did not differ from any other Monday. Just nicely movin' on at our projects.

And with a number of new projects in the pipeline, we also keep going. New customer Greenbrothers VOF from Zevenbergen (NL) is one of those projects. But also with loyal customer Royal Peppers we can get back to work in the spring with a new expansion in Waddinxveen (NL).

We will of course keep you informed of these projects when they start.

For the moment we are concentrating on the ongoing projects. Have fun watching and reading!

RedSun

We start this project update with the Canadian project Redsun. An extra long update, because there is plenty of activity going on in finishing both the greenhouse and the service area.

In the meantime the second boiler is in operation and the pipes in the boiler room are being insulated. The last adjustments to the CO2 system are now being made and finalized. The climate computer has arrived and will be installed and connected to all systems.

In addition, the general cleaning has started. In the irrigation room, the Tebarex water specialist is removing the last dust particles from the equipment. The units are ready for their final commissioning. In the greenhouse the gutters and walkway are being cleaned. The last step before planting!

The electrical panels are completely connected to all equipment in the greenhouse. The electrician from Gryphon is finishing up the last connection and has started further wiring the climate computer.

Finally, the horizontal screen is ready and all limits have been set. The screening crew from Alweco and Westland are working on the last limits of the gable screen.

Proplant

All building materials have arrived at the Proplant construction site. According to the current schedule, we will start building the greenhouse within two weeks, followed by glazing about two weeks later.

JEM Farms phase 4/R&D

At JEM Farms the demolition of the current greenhouse at the location of the new expansion, phase 4, is still in full swing. Part of it has already been cleared completely, as can be seen in the photo.

We expect to be able to start with the foundation of this phase in March / April.

Intergrow phase II

The new expansion of Intergrow, phase II, is still in 'hibernation' after VB completed the preparatory work, such as the ground pipes end of last year. But not for long anymore! At the end of this month, the building materials will arrive at the construction site and the following week we will start with the steel construction.

Foliera

As we reported earlier, the first preparatory work has already been carried out at the end of last year at Foliera. Week 11 is the planned start of construction.

Pure Flavor 3

The installation of the boiler by JV Energy (Voshol) is planned for next week. We will start construction as planned in the middle of next month.

European works

Kwekerij Vereijken

We are fully engaged with the preparatory work for the new expansion of Vereijken Nurseries in Someren, Brabant.

Voorwinden has started concrete work on the foundation of the tomato greenhouse. The posts have been unloaded and will be pressed shortly. Steel construction will start in about two weeks.

Dick van der Gaag

The very last finishing touches in Luttelgeest (NL). Next week, the final delivery of the brand new greenhouse of the nursery called 'In de Polder' by Dick van der Gaag will take place. Not long after that, the young tomato plants will be planted!

Hoogweg 3 (greenhouse C and D)

The construction site of the two new extensions of Hoogweg Paprika's in Luttelgeest (NL) is still quiet at the moment, but within a few weeks things will get busy again! Starting with the rainwater discharge system at the end of next month / beginning of March. Construction work in the Dutch Noordoostpolder is scheduled to start in mid-March.

Ruud and Hans Hendriks

Nicely building on in Dutch Baarlo (province of Limburg)! The steel is going up very fast and the aluminum finishing work will start early next week.

House of Peppers

The rainwater discharge of the new bell pepper greenhouse is currently being constructed in IJsselmuiden (NL). We are well on schedule, which means that we can start construction at the end of February.

Gestelberries BVBA

Finally in this update we highlight the Gestelberries project. As we wrote in the previous update, we have a firm hand in the Belgian Meer. Even the photos can't keep up! The steel construction is complete and Voorwinden is now busy with the aluminum work. At the places that work is done we can already start glazing. Nicely movin' on!

Let's keep in touch.
