Projectupdate week 43: ‘Under all circumstances’

Changing weather conditions and darker days. Autumn is in full swing and for our performers the days are getting more inclement, the days shorter and the work... that continues. With many projects to be delivered in the coming period.

Every week we make great progress on our projects. Here is an overview of the most important updates of the projects that are now in full swing or where we are planning the preparatory work. On a monthly basis we will post updates of the current projects and their progress.

D.C. van Geest – ‘S- Gravenzande, The Netherlands

At D.C. van Geest we have made the first delivery of the new greenhouse this week.  The greenhouse of 4.2 acre will be used for the cultivation of pot plants. A project in 'S- Gravenzande which was started around March is now delivered to the proud owners.

Greenbrothers VOF - Zevenbergen, The Netherlands

At eggplant grower Greenbrothers in Zevenbergen, The first completion of the greenhouse was also done this week. The 13.3 acre project will be completed after the air corridor is adjusted to optimize ventilation. After that, it is time for us to leave the construction site.

Royal Peppers fase 4 - Waddinxveen, The Netherlands

At Royal Peppers we are at the point that the concrete path will be poured in the coming weeks.

But first we need finish of the drainage before we can hand over the greenhouse to the pepper growers. The project of 13.5 acre will provide an enormous increase in scale in the cultivation.

Oostland Company - Berkel en Rodenrijs, The Netherlands

The very last bits in Berkel en Rodenrijs. The first delivery has been made and we are now checking, adjusting  the last points. For example, the silo still needs to be connected and the sluice to the existing greenhouse needs to be completed. It is expected that in the coming weeks the project of 8.2 acre will be handed over to the pepper grower.

Ammerlaan Orchideeën - Pijnacker, The Netherlands

Close to home at Ammerlaan Orchideen in Pijnacker the finishing touches are being put to the 2 acre greenhouse. A project which was realized in just under four months for the expansion of the assortment and capacity of Cymbidium and orchids. A successful project to look back on.

Tomato Masters - Deinze, Belgium

In Deinze we have started the preparations for the construction of the greenhouse. This week we will start with the foundation so we can make a start with the construction of the tomato greenhouse of 12.3 acre. With the expansion, the company will become the largest tomato grower in Belgium.

Kwekerij Baas - Ens

In Ens, we have laid the foundation for starting the construction after the drawing work. This will start within a few weeks. First of all, a start will be made with digging the drainage and the first steps in the groundwork for this 5.4 acre project for flowers and pot plants for the family business in Flevoland.

Hoogeveen Plants - Hazerswoude dorp

At Hoogeveen Plants we started building the greenhouse. After the groundwork, the entire greenhouse frame has been erected. The size of the project means that several glazing teams will be working on the greenhouse deck in the coming weeks. This will enable us to rapidly seal the deck in Hazerswoude. In addition, work will also be carried out on the shed that will support the greenhouse in production.

Flora Pack –  St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada

We have started the foundation of the greenhouse, with the contours of the new greenhouse already slowly becoming visible. The drainage is dug and the concrete works have been put in place. With the project comes, in addition to the greenhouse, a storage/distribution center for which we have already placed the first concrete walls.

Hendriks Greenhouses– Beamsville, Ontario, Canada

In Beamsville, since the last update, groundwork has begun for the construction of the greenhouse totaling 3.2 acre. This week we started the first steel structures for the greenhouse. Whereby the first columns have gone up in height. We are already well on track in Beamsville among the vineyards. Within a couple of weeks we start glazing.

Foliera – Beamsville, Ontario, Canada

The greenhouse is build and work is now being done on the final details such as airtightness and we are slowly making room for partner parties who are installing the cloths. At Foliera they can almost start thinking about the core of the company: growing pot plants and seasonal flowers.

Demers – St. Nicolas, Quebec, Canada

At the huge project in Demers, the first plants went into the greenhouse Block 1 last week. That does not mean that we are already finished. Since we are working in several greenhouses simultaneously. In Block 3 we are now busy with the crop wire and the screen installation to finish and then continue with the fine leveling of the soil to continue with the ground cloths.

Let's keep in touch.
