Project update week 46: 'Week of celebration!'

.

We're not even going to talk about corona. No, this week was and is a week of celebration for us. Besides the fact that we officially celebrated our 14th anniversary last Monday, we had even more reason to celebrate: the announcement of the purchase of a beautiful parcel with vineyard. This plot at a strategic location along the QEW, an important Canadian highway to Toronto, will soon be our new home base in North America.

But of course our projects are always cause for celebration. And we would like to inform you again of those projects and their progress through this update.

RedSun

We start with the Canadian project Redsun. There we are a long way in the greenhouse pulling the crop wires and JV (Voshol) has now completed the running-in of the 51mms for the pipe rail system in block 3. Voorwinden will now fine-level that block. Finally, the flashing at the warehouse is finished.

Proplant

As we wrote in the previous update, the warehouse is now completely operational.
So we are now fully concentrating on the greenhouse. In the coming days, the containers with all the construction material will be unloaded. We will actually start building the greenhouse in the course of next week. The building plot is completely ready; the posts are pressed (see photo)!

Twin Creeks

They are now really the last few steps at Twin Creeks. For example, Voorwinden is working on the stairwell in the warehouse and in the greenhouse on the inner foots and the flashing. The final delivery is close!

Intergrow phase II

For the new phase of Intergrow, phase II, the preparatory work, such as the foundation and rainwater discharge, has largely been completed. VB is currently working on the ground pipes and then this project will go into 'hibernation' for a while. Construction is scheduled to start in February 2021.

Epione Remedios

In Old Castle, Canada, Voorwinden is busy finishing the greenhouse and the warehouse, such as pouring the floors and assembling the doors.

Pure Flavor 3

We are well on schedule with the construction of phase 3 of Pure Plavor in Staples (ON), Canada. And we are going fast, because the steel construction , more specifically the steel of the corridor, is already being finalized.
Next week, JV (Voshol) will start excavating the transport pipelines. After that, the site will be prepared for winter and then we will pick up again next year.

Ontario Plant Propagation

Our project for the Ontario Plant Propagators in St. Thomas, Canada is almost completed. The warehouse has already been put into use and in the coming weeks some final finishing work will be done to make the cultivation facility completely ready for use!

European works

Baanheidehof 2

Our first European project, the second phase of the Baanheidehof project in Beerse, Belgium, involves working on the final details. Final delivery will take place next week.

Cambidge HOK - Beeswax

The very latest update of project Beeswax commissioned by the English Cambridge HOK. The final delivery took place last week and this brings the realization of a wonderful project to an end.

Kwekerij de 3-Hoek

Final delivery has been completed in Westdorpe in Dutch Zeeland. The Voorwinden men have put some finishing touches this week, such as installing the Novoferm doors. Another great project brought to a successful end!

Gebr. van Duijn

We are also heading towards the final delivery in Westdorpe in Dutch Zeeland! The dilation is ready and the gable has been converted this week. In addition, we have started mounting the polycarbonate gables. Final delivery must take place within two weeks.

Olbrechts BVBA

We are also not far from the final delivery for the Olbrechts project in Belgium. Voorwinden is also busy with finishing work here, including converting the crop arches.

Dick van der Gaag

We have come a long way with the van der Gaag project in Luttelgeest. Voorwinden is already working on the final construction work, such as finishing the corners of the greenhouse.

Hoogweg 3 (greenhouse C and D)

The posts were pressed for the next expansion of Hoogweg Paprika's in Luttelgeest (NL). The construction site has also been made ready for winter and in the new year we will pick up again in the Dutch Noordoostpolder. Construction is scheduled to start at the end of March next year.

Ruud and Hans Hendriks

The preparations on paper, the drawing work, was completed for our new project in Baarlo in North Limburg this week. The building materials have been ordered and we will start with the foundation within three weeks, followed by the rainwater discharge system. We will start construction at the very beginning of the new year.

Next week an interview with one of the clients, Hans Hendriks, on our website!

House of Peppers

With the second new project, House of Peppers (also known as Peppers Unlimited), we are just a step further than with the Hendriks brothers. The foundation started last week and we hope to complete it this year. In the first month of 2021, we will start working on the discharge.

Let's keep in touch.
