Project update week 50: 'The last bits are the best!'

.

We are now in the proverbial 'dark days before Christmas'. Everyone is preparing for a number of days off, which this year - at least in terms of the number of people at the dining table - will be different than usual. On our various projects we are also working on the last bits. And those are the best, because apart from those few days off, the Havecon train will continue to move. Of course, we also like socializing underneath the Christmas tree and good food. But perhaps we like building on even more. Regardless of the season.

We wish you a lot of fun reading and watching the latest project update of this year!

RedSun

We start with the Canadian project Redsun. The first boiler is commissioned. On the photo on the right you see the final panels are being installed on the heat storage tanks.

Things are going fast in the greenhouse as well: in the meantime all cultivation gutters have been installed and JV (Voshol) has almost connected the heating.

Proplant

Things are moving fast project at Proplant! We set up the steel construction in only six days two weeks ago. We will start glazing at the beginning of next year.

JEM Farms R&D

After the final delivery of phase 3 this week, we are already working on the following project for JEM Farms: a warehouse and an extension of the warehouse (the warehouse).

Voorwinden started construction last week and is already halfway. Coming weekend a start will be made with the sandwich deck. The mounting of the first sandwich panels is on the planinng for today. Both buildings will be closed and ready for winter within just 3 weeks next week!

Epione Remedios

In the Canadian Old Castle, Voorwinden is also busy with the latest work like the flashing and mounting of the sandwich in the gables.

Intergrow phase II

In the new phase of Intergrow, phase II, the preparatory work has been completed. VB has also finished the ground pipes and with that this project has gone into 'hibernation'.  The planned start of construction is February 2021.

Twin Creeks

The final delivery at Twin Creeks has been completed! In the meantime, the plants have also been put on the gutters and with that the greenhouse has turned beautiful green. Let those first peppers grow fast in Watford, Canada!

Pure Flavor 3

Despite the winter conditions, the construction of phase 3 of Pure Plavor in Canadian Staples (ON) is on schedule. And we're going fast, because the steel construction has been completed. JV (Voshol) has almost completed the excavation work for the transport pipelines.

Ontario Plant Propagation

Latest leads in St. Thomas! The next two weeks it's really just a matter of finishing touches until the final delivery.

European works

Baanheidehof 2

Our first European project, the second phase of the Baanheidehof project in Beerse, Belgium, involves working on the very last details. This week the final delivery will take place and with that we have completed another great project for the cultivation of peppers!

Kwekerij Vereijken

New project! At the moment, the old greenhouse is being demolished by Kerklaan (Mustang) and at the beginning of next year we will start with the new greenhouse for the cultivation of tomatoes of 3.7 hectares in Someren, Brabant (NL).

Olbrechts BVBA

Final work on one of the projects at our Southern neighbors. The delivery of the Olbrechts project will take place very soon.

Dick van der Gaag

The first delivery of the van der Gaag project in Luttelgeest is done! Voorwinden is busy with the finishing and (overhead) doors, followed by the concrete path early next year. Final delivery will take place soon after!

Hoogweg 3 (greenhouse C and D)

The posts of the next expansion of Hoogweg Paprika's in Luttelgeest are pressed. The construction site has also been made ready for winter and in the new year we will pick up the thread again in the Noordoostpolder. Construction is scheduled to start at the end of March next year.

Ruud and Hans Hendriks

In Baarlo, North Limburg (NL), the marking of the land was completed last week and we are now fully engaged with the foundation, followed by the rainwater discharge system around Christmas. At the very beginning of the new year we will start working on steel construction.

House of Peppers

We are busy with all the preparations for the second new project, House of Peppers. The marking of the land has been completed. In the first month of 2021, we will start working on the discharge, followed by the steel construction in week 5.

Gestelberries BVBA

Finally, a new project: Gestelberries in the Belgian Meer (Hoogstraten, B). We are going to build a strawberry cultivation facility there. Part of the greenhouse will be heated and part unheated. Together with the corridor, the whole facility will be nearly 4 hectares.

The preparatory work has already come a long way: the marking of the land has been done and the foundation is almost ready. Construction of the rainwater discharge system will start next week.

Stay informed of this great project by regularly visiting the Gestelberies project page. You will find the link below.

Let's keep in touch.
